Company Description

Sezzle Inc. (“Sezzle”) is a publicly traded financial technology company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. The company provides an alternative payment platform offering interest-free installment plans at selected online stores.

Sezzle’s e-commerce payment platform enables customers of participating online stores to split the payment for their purchases into four installments. The first installment is paid at the moment of purchase while the other three are due at regular intervals over the following six weeks. The customer’s credit score is not impacted. Sezzle’s service comes at no added cost to the consumer. Repeat customers who have paid off previous purchases on time are allowed to finance the purchase of more expensive products.

The platform operates as an alternative payment method that the customer selects at checkout to enable payment with participating retailers. Users can also shop and find stores through the Sezzle app and website.

UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 

Under the UK Modern SlaveryAct, companies providing goods and services with a turnover of £36m or more are required to publish an annual Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement setting out the steps the company has taken to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in its supply chain or its own business.

California Transparency in Supply Chains Act 2010 (SB-657) 

Under the Transparency in Supply Chains Act, companies with annual worldwide gross receipts exceeding $100,000,000 that are doing business in the State of California are required to disclose their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from their direct product supply chains for the goods that they offer for sale.

Sezzle is committed to a work environment that is free from human trafficking, forced labor and unlawful child labor. Sezzle has a zero-tolerance policy for human trafficking and slavery, we unequivocally support the human rights of all our employees and the employees of our global merchants. We respect and support domestic and international principles aimed at protecting and promoting human rights.

Sezzle has an internal and external Code of Conduct revealing our commitment to fighting Slavery and Human Trafficking.  All Suppliers, and other parties who do business with Sezzle, are required to comply with the Code of Conduct.  Sezzle reserves the right to terminate the relationship with a party who fails to comply with the Code of Conduct. 

Sezzle does not currently conduct audits of suppliers to evaluate supplier compliance with specific standards for trafficking and slavery in supply chains. However, we are currently in the process of developing an efficient and accurate compliance program which will conduct audits of our merchants to assess their compliance with the legal standards to eliminate human trafficking and slavery within their supply chains and other business activities. 

Sezzle is also enhancing internal controls for better oversight of internal accountability standards and procedures.  

Training on Slavery and Human Trafficking is conducted on an annual basis for all employees.
